I am a visiting Phd Student from Sapienza University (Rome, Italy). In my research, I focus on how we sense and feel what happens inside our bodies—like a beating heart or a rumbling tummy—and how these internal signals shape the way we interact with others. I also study how social touch, helps us regulate our emotions and physical needs.
Here at the Baby and Child Research Group, I am excited to explore how these processes develop in infants. In particular, I want to understand how a parent's ability to read their baby’s cues helps the baby learn about their own body. I am also curious to see if the amount of touch between parents and children plays a key role in helping babies to express and manage their needs.
