Reading books to babies

HomeBRC festival for kids!Reading books to babies

Together, we will look at 'Hey baby look' by Laura Van Bouchout. In this Baby Book, animals are cuddling. Which animals do we see? And what are they doing? The book with clear black and white drawings is fun to look at for very young babies due to the contrast. After the story, older children can also play with contrasts themselves and create a beautiful craft.

Discover how wonderful it is to engage with books and language with your baby or toddler. Reading a book together, pointing out and naming pictures, learning rhymes, telling stories, and listening to them: this strengthens the bond between you and your child. Children who are exposed to books from a very young age often develop a language advantage. This is beneficial for them throughout their entire lives!

In collaboration with Bibliotheek Gelderland Zuid.
