HomeDevelopmental PsychobiologyMie Arnau Martinez

My name is Mie and currently, I am a second-year Master's student in Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University, with a specialisation in Lifelong Development & Plasticity. As part of my degree, I’m completing my internship and thesis at the Developmental Psychobiology Lab, where I contribute to data collection for the 18-year wave of the BIBO study and assist with the PEPO- and HEALS study.

I am particularly interested in the dynamic interplay between genetics, development, and the environment. For my thesis, I focus on how cortisol dynamics (a hormone linked to stress) over time may influence epigenetic aging, which essentially looks at how stress could affect aging at a molecular level.
