Hello! My name is Matthijs Jonkergouw and I am currently in the first year of the Master’s programme in Biomedical Sciences at Radboud University. As part of my studies, I am doing an internship with the BabyBRAIN research group, where I investigate how babies respond to changes in their environment. We study this by measuring the brain activity and eye movements while the baby watches a screen where little monsters appear.
After my internship, I will start working as a research assistant on another study within the BabyBRAIN group, where we explore how babies can learn more effectively from their mothers. In this role, I will be calling parents to schedule appointments and I will also accompany the test sessions. There’s a good chance we’ll meet at the BRC!
