Het heeft dus een belangrijke sociale functie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stefania Vacaru's research<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">In her PhD, BRC researcher <a href=\"http:\/\/babyandchild.nl\/en\/medewerkers\/stefania-vacaru\/\" target=\"_self\">Stefania Vacaru<\/a> studied when children start to imitate others to show their desire to connect with them. Apparently children as young as 3 years old already do this.
