20 years of ABCD-study, results and lesson learned<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We are pleased to announce that Tanja Vrijkotte<\/a> (Amsterdam UMC) will speak at our online BRC Colloquium on the 5th of March. She is the principal investigator of the ABCD-study: a large longitudinal multi-ethnic birth cohort that follows children from pregnancy up to 25 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abstract talk<\/strong>
The ABCD – Amsterdam Born Children and their Development \u2013 study is a longitudinal multi-ethnic birth cohort examining the association between maternal lifestyle, medical, psychosocial and environmental conditions during pregnancy and children\u2019s health at birth as well as in later life. Specific attention is paid to ethnic and socioeconomic disparities in the health and development of children. The ABCD-study was established in 2003 to increase our knowledge of health inequalities and related determinants from the earliest age onwards. After years of intensive data collection, participants in the ABCD-study are now 19-20 years old. In this presentation Tanja will highlight some results and learned lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
