Hi! I’m Larissa, a master student in Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University. Right now, I am conducting my research internship at the Developmental Psychobiology Lab. Pregnancy and the first couple of years after birth are very fascinating to me. Not only because there are so many changes happening in the bodies and behaviours of mother and child, but also because these developments can be influenced by internal and external circumstances, like the mother’s mental wellbeing or the situation at home.
I am very excited that I can gain practical experience and take a first step towards entering the world of research myself. I will be working on the GO Baby study, as well as the BIBO study, and will be writing my thesis on the latter. In the BIBO study I will mostly be helping with the scheduling and preparing testing participants and later I will be performing quality checks and processing the sleep data. In the GO Baby study I will be directly involved with data collection in the lab. Together with my colleagues, I receive participants and guide them through the steps of our research. I might see you there!
