About me

HomeDevelopmental PsychobiologyJulie van Immerseel

I am a masterstudent Cognitive Neuroscience and I am doing my internship at the Developmental Psychobiology lab. I find it very interesting to look how our environment can play a role in preventing and decreasing stress in both mother and child. As too much stress can have a negative influence on our health, I want to know how our environment could help us in reducing this stress.

To study this, I am analysing different data which were collected in the BIBO study. This is a longitudinal study, which looks at how the development of behaviour and health is influenced by early (prenatal) environmental factors. In what ways can the environment in which we grow up have an effect on our health?

Not only am I helping with the BIBO study, I am also assisting in the GO Baby study. Maybe I will get to meet you and your mini-scientist soon for our research!
